Character Creation
To create your first character:
- Go to the Camarilla website.
- Click on the Login link at the top of the page.
- Log into the Camarilla website (if you do not already have an account, you will need to create one).
- Once logged in go to the Camarilla Resource Database.
- In the menu on the left click on Characters.
- Click on Add a Character.
- Enter the character's Name and Short Concept.
- Select their Virtue and Vice.
- On the next page fill out the sheet according to the rules listed in the source books.
- Mortal characters refer to pp. 28-32 of Mind's Eye Theatre or pp. 34-25 of World of Darkness.
- Vampire characters refer to pp. 120-121 of Mind's Eye Theatre: the Requiem or p. 93 of Vampire: the Requiem for a quick explanation. You will also need the mortal books to create the base character.
You will also need to maintain your XP log:
- Click the XP log tab at the top of the page.
- Most of your beginning expendetures will be creation dots, so select the Creation Dots option.
- In the # field enter the number of dots you are assigning to the stat/skill/power.
- In Description, type the name of the state/skill/power you are assigning to. There are some examples below:
- Attribute: Intelligence
- Skill: Academics
- Skill Specialty: Academics (American History)
- Mental Merit: Eidetic Memory
- Physical Merit: Fast Reflexes
- Social Merit: Contacts (Police)
- Vampire Template: Strength
- Vampire Template: Obfuscate
- Discipline: Vigor
- Devotion: Veridical Tongue
- Leave the Date/Time field blank. It will automatically set the date/time.
- You should also be starting with a base number of XP dependent upon your MC level. This should be entered as MC (instead of creation dots). If you are MC 1 then you should enter 50 for the # and type a description of 30 + (20 * MC1).
- Any expenditures you use from your current XP should be entered as Spend (instead of Creation Dots). See the source books for the cost of each dot that you purchase. You can only spend half of your starting XP in a single area (i.e. Attribute, Skills, Merits, etc.).
- When creating a character, be sure to check everything with both the appropriate source book and the Camarilla: Rules Addendum. If you have questions, contact your direct storyteller with them.
Finally, you will need to have your character approved for the Venue:
To submit a character for a Venue follow the instructions in the Approvals Database document for Approving a Character for a Venue.
